The nearest train station to Henley Gate is Westerfield.
Currently this is around a 30 minute walk, however, as Henley Gate develops, new walking routes to the station will be provided. Make sure to follow us on social media for regular updates and information.
Westerfield provides direct links to Ipswich and Felixstowe, operating hourly. From Ipswich station, there are links to places further afield such as Norwich, London Liverpool Street, Colchester, Stowmarket and more.
At Westerfield station, you will find only 4 bicycle storages at the time being. Information screens such as departure and arrival live times are there for passengers to follow their train live updates.

Westerfield Train Station wildlife garden
Westerfield station’s team of volunteer station adopters have created a large wildlife garden alongside the station platform, and are working locally to raise awareness of the importance of protecting and conserving nature. The team has planted several hundred perennials, grasses and wildflowers on the 72-square metre site. The volunteers have also built and installed a hexagonal planter for the platform in which the 1st Westerfield cubs planted herbs for local people to help themselves.
